The World Tourism Day 2015 was celebrated grandly with a massive participation of bikers from across Maldives in the Bike Ride 2015 event, organised as a tourism adaptation project (TAP) in consultation with Bike Maldives, a volunteer group promoting the use of bicycles for healthy living and to protect the environment. The event was held on 12 September kicking off from the Social Centre area at 4.00 pm and ended successfully at Raalhugandu area at 6.00 pm. The large participation of bicycle riders from the main city and adjoining islands was noteworthy and quite encouraging. Maldives boasts some of the best hotels in Maldives promoting green environment and healthy living such as the Adaaran Club Rannalhi.
