One of the country’s main holidays, the annual Mid Autumn Festival in Vietnam will take place next month. Locally known as “Tết Trung Thu”, this important cultural festival was originally celebrated to mark the harvest. As per the Chinese calendar, it is held on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month; this year it falls on 13th September and will feature festivities in different parts of the country.
One of the best places to observe the Mid Autumn Festival would be the province of Binh Thuan; those staying by the coast at properties the likes of Anantara Mui Ne Resort can plan an excursion here. During this time, Mui Ne restaurants generally have special dining experiences linked with the event as well. Popular festival traditions that one can look to enjoy include savouring mooncakes and witnessing lion dance parades.
