In a recent report highlighted on the ChinaTravelNews online site, the increase of routes as well as airlines offering air travel between China and the UK was brought to light. These findings were a part of the “Insights Report on China-UK Route Development and Groups” which showed that the number of airlines had increased to eight from the previous five. Additionally, it was found that there was a strong seasonal trend with the period between July and September showing a higher number of passengers travelling to the UK. This is in contrast to February and March when passenger traffic is comparatively less with market demand also reduced.
These routes will undoubtedly have a positive effect on tourist arrivals to China from the UK as well. Currently, China is a popular tourist destination featuring a range of experiences and accommodation options; these include budget hostels as well as luxury hotels and resorts from international hospitality chains the likes of Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas.
