Malaysia’s Langkawi islands attract thousands of tourists yearly with its tropical landscapes and luxurious Langkawi resorts, such as the Berjaya Langkawi Resort, which is located on the edge of a rain forest, overlooking the sea. Due to the distinct culture of the island, Langkawi has a few unique celebrations of its own that reflects its heritage, which cannot be found anywhere else on the mainland. December marks the start of the Langkawi Craft Festival; the Langkawi Craft Complex offers space to local artisans and businesses to display and see their arts and crafts.
