An event that showcased over 400 different brands covering everything from luxury timepieces to exclusive jewellery, the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) recently drew to a close. The event which featured 40 exhibitors, both local and international, took place between the 20th and 25th February and was hosted at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. The venue is ideally located within easy reach of several Doha hotels in the area including Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara. The Qatar Tourism Authority was the organiser behind this year’s Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition which was the 14th edition of this popular annual event. Held under the theme ‘Once upon a time… luxury’, the DJWE gave visitors a chance to see exhibits from renowned local names such as Amiri Gems, Al Majed Jewellery and Al Fardan Jewellery Company. Workshops on watch-making conducted by Objectif Horlogerie and collections from Young Qatari Designers were amongst the many highlights of this year’s event.
