An event that attracted foodies from across the globe, the Abu Dhabi Food Festival was recently held in the UAE capital. The festival which ran from 6th to 23rd December featured a wide range of food-related events, some of which included the participation of international celebrity chefs. These special programmes were held at venues across the city and at certain five star hotels in Abu Dhabi. Many restaurants also took part in the Abu Dhabi Food Festival including Pachaylen at Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara which served an exclusive four-course menu of Thai dishes. A popular part of this foodie fiesta was the food truck spectacular where over 60 trucks gave visitors a chance to sample some of the best international street food, from Africa and South America in particular. The festival also encompassed other much-loved events such as Gourmet Abu Dhabi and the SIAL trade fair.
