As one of the major tourist destinations globally, Dubai attracts a large number of visitors to the Capital of the Emirate of Dubai. However, the city was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic like other tourist destinations in the world. As a result of strong leadership, Dubai was able to turn the tides amidst global challenges and boost international tourism. Dubai ensures that travellers adhere to safety and health protocols. The city also implemented strategies such as offering complimentary passes to visit Dubai Expo through the partnership with Emirates, hosting iconic festivals and events like the Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Summer Surprises, and Dubai Fitness Challenge, and developing processes to minimise waiting times for travellers at the airport. Dubai is also home to first-class hotels like the Avani Deira Dubai Hotel, one of the best hotels in Deira Dubai.
