In a report published in December by Euromonitor International that featured the Top 100 City Destinations 2018, Dubai was included in the world’s 10 most visited cities. The emirate ranked number seven and it was notable that it placed higher than cities such as New York, Amsterdam, Rome and Las Vegas. According to the findings, the international arrivals in Dubai had grown to almost 17 million which was an increase of 6.2%.
Apart from a wide range of attractions, this cosmopolitan destination also has a host of accommodation options for tourists; amongst the highlights are the 5 star resorts Dubai has to offer including luxury properties on the exclusive Palm Jumeirah Island such as Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. The emirate is planning to draw 20 million visitors by 2020 and this current growth in tourist arrivals is a definite step in the right direction.
