A remarkable success story despite the pandemic, Dubai has seen visitor numbers increase; as per statistics of the Department of Tourism in Dubai that was highlighted on the Gulf News website on 11th July 2021, it had recorded 3.7 million visitors between July 2020 and May 2021. This recovery in tourism is partly due to Dubai’s well planned and implemented health protocols as well as high vaccination rates. Arriving visitors can also look forward to safe accommodation including at properties like Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort; guests can enjoy worry-free stays at such a Palm Jumeirah hotel that has adopted stringent hygiene and sanitisation measures.
Against this backdrop, Expo 2020 Dubai was launched this month; this much-anticipated event will run from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022 and feature expansive country pavilions, daily shows, tech innovations, culinary adventures and more. It’s expected to attract visitors from around the world and the arrivals numbers to Dubai will no doubt be boosted too.
