Fishing is one of the vital and key industries in Maldives that is of high importance to the people and the country of Maldives. Fisherman’s Day is commemorating this important industry that was held as a grand festival on 10 of December 2015 in Male. Male fish market is the main place where all the trading takes place of fish caught by the local fishermen. It is very crucial to maintain the fishing industry consistently to the economy of Maldives. Most imported fish in Europe like tuna comes from Maldives.
