Galaxy Entertainment Group Records a Rise in Profits – Positive Signs of Growth

The Galaxy Entertainment Group, one of the leading gaming and hospitality companies, recently posted a $1.72 billion net profit for 2018 which showed a healthy 29% growth. This increase was mainly attributed to the rising number of gamblers heading to what is billed as the largest casino hub in the world, Macau. 5 star hotels that come under the Galaxy Entertainment Group provide guests access to such casinos which continue to attract visitors to this Chinese territory where it is legal to gamble.

The Group is one of Macau’s few listed casino operators and features three flagship properties. This includes the integrated destination resort of Galaxy Macau that’s also home to three renowned Asian hotels, one of which is Hotel Okura Macau of Japan. It is hoped that 2019 will continue to register this upward trend in profits despite facing the challenge of slower economic growth of the mainland and the present instability of Chinese-U.S. trade relations.
