Conducted from the 1st to the 5th of December, 2016 Colombo hosted the Global Young Leaders Peace Camp with the attendance of international students from around the world. Seen as a global initiative to bring together inspired young talent and leadership to the areas of creating healthier communities and families the summit also served as a platform to foster world peace and prosperity.
Hosted in three cities across the country including Kithulgala and Nawalapitiya, the Colombo installment of the peace camp had its attendees based in Jetwing hotels and other hospitality hubs or Sri Lanka hotels in the city. The attendees engaged in group activities including tours to cultural sites and camping excursions and also took part in several team building endeavors as well as workshops. The event also offered participants the chance to take part in a community project in Sri Lanka to catalyze their ideas for influencing global change.
