Government is taking steps to protect the Sigiriya rock mirror wall Preserving age old culture

The once rock fortress of the King Kashyapa who had his father assassinated for Kingship is now under serious observation of the Government. The Rock Fortress or more commonly known as the palace on the rock which is visited by thousands of locals and foreigners alike is simply a marvel. Now, this marvel has come under the Sri Lankan Government’s inspection in the recent years following a series of incidents where tourists have tried to scribble on Mirror Wall on several occasions. The Government minister on Cultural affairs had stated that authorities intend to construct a glass guard to protect the fortress’s mirror wall from such future incidents.
