The celebrated Ukrainian violinist, Valeriy Sokolov will be collaborating with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta to stage a performance of Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor. Performing under the baton of acclaimed music director, Yip Wing-sie; the programme will also include Stravinsky’s Concerto in E-flat, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 in E Minor. The concert will take place on the 31st of March, at the concert hall – Hong Kong city hall, which is located near several prominent buildings, such as the Dorsett Wanchai Hong Kong, for example, a notable Wanchai hotel. Valeriy Sokolov is a regular collaborator with several famous international orchestras, such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, among many others. In addition, he has also worked alongside leading conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Andris Nelsons, and David Zinman.
