In a bid to encourage domestic tourism, AirAsia begun flights in August connecting two popular destinations in Thailand, namely Hua Hin and Chiang Mai. Locals can now easily visit southern Thailand and stay at a hotel in Hua Hin while spending time at the beach; they can also look to visit attractions like Mrigadayavan Palace and the night market within easy reach of properties like Anantara Hua Hin Resort.
Additionally, as part of this domestic tourism push, the airline is also offering flights that link Udon Thani, one of the Isan region’s major cities to Hua Hin as well. To cater to Thais in search of a weekend break, the AirAsia flights are on Fridays and Sundays; the Hua Hin to Chiang Mai connection operates from 15:10 to 16:30, while the Chiang Mai to Hua Hin connection runs from 09:40 to 11:00.
