With droughts, bush fires, and then the COVID -19 outbreak, the first half of 2020 was not at all a great time for the tourism sector of Hunter Valley. However, in June, most of the Hunter Valley businesses restarted their operations, and they are now increasing their profits gradually.

Hunter Valley hotels the likes of Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort are now getting local visitors who come there to explore the wineries and according to them, this is a very good sign of a positive future. During the last couple of months, wine tourism in Hunter Valley dropped to zero and this is why many local businesses lost their sales quite significantly. Since the world is still living with COVID -19, the officials say that every player will adhere to health and safety guidelines throughout their operations.
