A special gathering that looked to promote innovative pedagogies and explore virtual reality and augmented reality for performing arts, the Innovation in Performing Arts Education Symposium 2017 was recently held in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The symposium and related workshops which were conducted on the 15th of June took place at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Participants at the symposium included researchers and policy makers from performing arts sectors from both local and international arena. The symposium which was themed Performance, Possibilities and Pedagogy provided an ideal opportunity for both local (Hong Kong) and international performers, educationists, and innovators.
