interCaribbean Airways lands itself in South America – Opening new routes to success

It was the beginning of the establishment of a new route from Bridgetown, Barbados where the first flight took off and landed at Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Georgetown. This was the initial landing in South America which opened up a new connection for interCaribbean Airways.

The airline now runs twelve Caribbean flights per week between the two destinations on an aircraft called Embraer which has the capacity to accommodate around 50 passengers. The airline hopes to see occupancy of about 600 seats per week. This has further made the presence of the airline in this region very significant due to the convenience of flights to destinations like the British Virgin Isles, Dominica, Grenada, Tortola, St. Lucia, Grenadines, and St. Vincent.
