A special International Women’s Day programme was recently hosted at Kurumba Maldives as part of a celebration of women’s achievements. Coinciding with International Women’s Day which fell on 8th March, this special event saw participants that included employees as well as guests staying at this property which is one of the Maldives resorts that come under Universal Resorts. The day began with a holistic yoga session followed by breakfast and sessions by Dr. Athifa Saeed who spoke about women’s health and Miss Hiyam Afeef who talked about her professional career which has seen her become the country’s first female seaplane pilot. Among the highlights was the charity auction for Advocating Rights for Children where attendees could bid on personal butlers for the day. Power Yoga, water sports, a fitness class and acupressure were among the other fun activities that were held for participants during this day.
