LaoSafe Becomes a Major Contributor in Reopening a Safer Laos

Launched in December 2021, LaoSafe acts as a body committed to securing the country’s health and hygiene for the tourism and hospitality sector, ensuring the safety of guests at a hotel in Luang Prabang and other regions like Avani+ Luang Prabang. The programme was approved by the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICT) as well as the Ministry of Health (MOH) and has been contributing its services to reopen a secure Laos for travellers.

As per the most recent update from 15th August 2022, the LaoSafe website reports having individually assessed 56 restaurants, 745 tour guides, 101 hotels, 2 airlines and 270 drivers to ensure that health and safety standards are maintained at optimum level. More and more hotels and businesses have been undertaking the LaoSafe training and certificate programme, creating a safe space for travellers with written proof of security to ease their COVID-19-related concerns.
