Legendary Sri Lankan Cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya Appointed as Tourism Brand Ambassador

Sri Lanka’s ex-skipper and cricketing legend, Sanath Jayasuriya was appointed as the brand ambassador for tourism in Sri Lanka. Tours in the country are to be highly encouraged as a nation which is dependent on this sector. Therefore, he urged locals and Sri Lankans living abroad to come forward and lend a hand in stepping onto the road to recovery.

He emphasised the fact that over 3 million Sri Lankans are heavily dependent on tourism, which plays a pivotal role in their livelihood and pledged his allegiance to help his motherland, via a message posted on Twitter.
