Malaysia Named Amongst Budget-Friendly Nations to Visit

In December last year, the India TV website included Malaysia on its list of budget-friendly international countries that travellers can head to. This Southeast Asian nation was highlighted for its idyllic rainforests and beaches as well as rich culture with diverse influences be it Malay, Indian, Chinese or European; adding to its appeal was that three to four days here would not cost travellers that much. The website further went on to reveal some of the key destinations in Malaysia which included Langkawi. Known for its island getaways and coastal bliss, it continues to be a vital part of the tourism industry which was further brought into the spotlight this year.

In February 2023, Langkawi was named by the Northern Corridor Economic Region as one of six investment destinations to implement incentives and programmes which will stimulate opportunities for tourism investment. These include aspects such as themed attractions, hotel development, healthcare tourism, ecotourism, family entertainment and more. A popular choice for locals and international travellers, it offers ideal accommodation options beside the sea at properties like Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa; apart from enjoying safe stays, those based at such a Pantai Cenang beach resort can also look forward to experiencing the best of this destination amidst fun in the sun, sand and surf.
