At the recently held ”Travel & Leisure Awards Ceremony & 16th Anniversary Celebration”, hosted by the Swissotel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Centre, Maldives came away with the ”Best Travel Destination Award”. The accolade was received by Mr Mohamad Faisal, the current Maldivian ambassador to China. The island nation has been consistently welcoming a notable influx of tourists and holidaymakers who wish to experience island living while staying at Maldives Resorts including the likes of Baros Maldives.
The annual occasion is lauded as an open forum which brings together notable persons, related to travel and tourism in order to facilitate good relations. One of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the Chinese tourism industry, the event was graced by diplomatic envoys and respected figures from the tourism bureau and a host of other industries.
