Mauritius Committed to Forge Stronger Trade Partnerships with CGC Countries

Following their successful COVID-19 vaccination strategy, the tourism industry in Mauritius faced an upsurge in arrivals, benefitting most resorts and hotels like Anantara Iko Mauritius. To develop an already rising industry, the country’s tourism authorities have revealed their intentions to further strengthen the bonds between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Countries (CGC), a piece of good news for Blue Bay Mauritius hotels.

With a promising future for travellers from CGC countries, Mauritius has guaranteed unique travel experiences to arrivals from these countries as they have been recognised as emerging markets. Following the theme, ‘Explore the Unexplored Mauritius’, the country hopes to tap into seldom explored fields like outdoor adventures, eco-tourism options, heritage, and cultural and culinary diversity. Further, the decision was prompted due to the major success that the Mauritius pavilion was rewarded with at the Expo 2020 Dubai.
