Mauritius to Implement Pre-Arrival PCR Test Requirement for Travellers

The government of the Republic of Mauritius has decided to drop the pre-arrival PCR test requirement for travellers entering the island nation. Initially, fully vaccinated visitors were required to submit a negative test result within 72 hours before departure. The country dropped the requirements from 12 March 2022. This initiative will most likely make things easier for visitors who enter the country for business and leisure and enjoy a peaceful getaway at one of the best Mauritius hotels, such as the five-star Anantara Iko Mauritius resort. The move resulted from the rising demand from international travellers to explore the Indian Ocean island after it opened its borders for international travel in October last year. Tourists adore Mauritius for its pristine sandy beaches, pleasant climate, national parks, delicious local food, and so much more.
