Max 500 Tourists daily on airport reopening – Sri Lanka tourism reborn!

Sri Lanka said Hello again to tourists on 21st January 2021 after the challenging period of COVID -19. Discussions occurred throughout December 2020 with this regard and at the end of these discussions with responsible parties, it was declared that only 500 tourists will be allowed to enter Sri Lanka under this initiative.

Once the tourists travel to Sri Lanka mandatory PCR tests will happen and then, the tourists will be referred for quarantine at respective hotels. All attractions listed on online travel guides such as Truly Sri Lanka will be open to entertaining the travellers, but they will have to adhere to all health and safety measures. Government officials also say that the foreign tourists will be monitored throughout their stays for the benefit of both the locals and the tourist crowd.
