At this year’s Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE23) from 30th April to 4th May 2023 held in the Gold Coast, it was announced that Melbourne would be the host of the event next year. It is scheduled to run from 19th to 23rd May 2024 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre near Pan Pacific Melbourne; for travelers staying at such South Wharf-based hotel suites, Melbourne events can be easily experienced including next year’s Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE24).
This will be the first time that this travel trade event, the largest of its kind in the Australian tourism industry, will be held in Victoria’s capital since 2015; it will coincidentally also be the ninth time that it will be hosted in Melbourne. Organized by Visit Victoria and Tourism Australia, ATE24 is expected to draw around 30 nations next year; these will include tourism retailers and wholesalers as well as tourism businesses which apart from making appointments with those attending can take part in networking events as well.
