Ministry of Tourism Goes Ahead with ‘Travel Card’ – Another Steppingstone in Sri Lanka Tourism

The Tourism Ministry in Sri Lanka gave the green light for the ‘Travel Card’ as a means to make arriving, leaving, exchanging currency and obtaining goods easier for tourists. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed for this initiative on the 21st of February 2023, and the ministry is working on the release as an expedited mission. The memorandum was signed by both the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and National Development Bank (NDB).

Sri Lanka has been on the fast track of uplifting its tourism experience and promoting natural and manmade beauty to the world. In the most attractive destinations such as Kandy, Colombo, Nuwara Eliya, Mirissa, Galle, and Tangalle, hotels are being reserved at a rapid rate, one of the best examples being Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort.
