The Minor Hotel Group (MH), an international hospitality conglomerate with 156 hotels and resorts in 24 countries in its portfolio, recently signed on to partner with UAE developer Nakheel, for a new AVANI hotel in Dubai. Nakheel will develop the new AVANI Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel, near the Ibn Battuta Mall, as a part of its expansion process. Ibn Battuta is a rapidly developing region of Dubai, and the new hotel marks a strategic move by the Minor Hotel Group. The AVANI Hotels & Resorts chain has come a long way since its inception in 2011, with 17 properties located around the world; notable properties include the AVANI Atrium Bangkok, best known for fine Dining in Bangkok. The new 18-storey Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel will include a pool, spa facilities, a gym, a restaurant and coffee shop.
