Following the gradual reopening of its borders, Singapore has been establishing more Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs) with certain countries and regions; under these travel lanes, those from the respective destinations are given quarantine-free entry, paving the way for more global travel. In December 2021, Singapore added nations like the Maldives, Turkey, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Fiji to its Vaccinated Travel Lanes; the list also includes Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, Germany and France amongst others.
Singapore also became the first country in Southeast Asia to have its vaccine certificate recognised as the equivalent of the Digital Covid Certificate used in the European Union; this, in turn, has led to easier cross-border travel. Those arriving in the Lion City have much to enjoy and can stay at SG Clean certified properties like Park Hotel Alexandra; be it for business or leisure, such a hotel near Sentosa, Singapore offers the ideal base to experience the city once more.
