One of the most iconic and ritualistic annual ceremony is set to start on the 7th of April this year. The event will take place on each Saturday till 30th of June. The ritual, influenced by the invention of Bungee jumping is basically an event performed by the islanders of Pentecost where they will jump from a man-made platform that is 20-30 metres tall. One of the most crucial parts of this event is building the tower, and it takes locals approximately five weeks to build it using the raw materials obtained from the forest. Vines are used instead of ropes for jumping and vines are carefully selected by the jumpers themselves who are well aware that just a few centimetres may be the difference between life and death. You can witness this amazing feat during your time at any of the Vanuatu Resort properties the likes of Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu.
