New beach to be opened in old Doha port – Yet another attraction for tourists

The Qatari government is taking steps to transform the west side of the historic Doha port into a vibrant beachfront destination, marking a significant milestone in its quest to establish itself as a prominent tourism hub. This ambitious project aims to create a comprehensive beach experience, replete with amenities ranging from cafes and restaurants to hotels and apartments.

Anticipating the diverse interests of both local and international visitors, the development will also feature an 8-kilometre-long cycling path, a serene garden, and a bustling fish market. Moreover, swimmers will have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquil waters along this scenic coastline. By providing such a diverse array of attractions, authorities hope to attract a growing number of tourists to Qatar.

The Doha port, renowned for its distinctive charm and remarkable features, is already a cherished destination among residents and tourists from hotels like Al Najada Doha Hotel Apartments By Oaks. Situated in close proximity to cultural landmarks like the Museum of Islamic Art, Sooq Waqif, National Museum, and the Doha Corniche, the port area is a hub of activity, particularly on weekends, when families and visitors from hotel apartments in Qatar gather to enjoy its natural beauty and partake in various cultural events and festivals, including those held during the holy month of Ramadan.
