New Luxury Airline in Maldives Targets Route to Hong Kong – ‘Beond’ Set to Launch this Year
The Maldives is planning to launch a new luxury airline named ‘Beond’ and hopes to establish a non-stop flight to Hong Kong in 2024; this was put in the spotlight on the South China Morning Post news website on 21st August 2023 which also revealed that the airline is expected to commence operations in autumn this year. Pronounced “beyond”, it has been classified as a business-class-only airline with a focus on attracting high-end travellers; it will feature limited seating with fully flat beds and features such as Apple iPad Pros and wireless headsets for passengers.
Such affluent holidaymakers have much to look forward to on getaways at the best Maldives all-inclusive resorts in this popular Indian Ocean destination; these include private island properties like Nova Maldives which offer a wealth of comforts and distinctive experiences. Beond is hoping to commence its first services this year to Delhi and Dubai following regulatory approval. According to Tero Taskila, the CEO of the airline, plans are underway to add three to five Chinese destinations within the next 12 months including Hong Kong.
