The Ombak Bali international Surf Film Festival,an annual festival dedicated to indie surf films and documentaries in South East Asia, will be taking place once again this August. Based in anareawell-known for its big waves, sandy beaches and beachfront Luxury Villas in Bali, like the luxurious Alila Villas Soori, Ombak Bali provides a platform for surf lovers and film makers to come together to promote their work, social issues and environmental awareness. Now in its 7th year, the 3 day festival will be showcasing a selection of inspirational surf films, music and even art, all of which will explore the diversity of surfing. The film screenings are considered the main attraction and entry to the entire festival is free of charge, thus drawing in large numbers of surfing fans and even non surfers intrigued by the unique topics.
