In February this year, on the Family Travel Trend Survey by Agoda, it was revealed that the coastal city of Pattaya was the most searched domestic destination in Thailand; rounding off the top five were, Hua Hin / Cha-Am, the island of Phuket, that Thai capital Bangkok and Chiang Mai respectively. Pattaya which is known for its idyllic beaches and fun-filled things to do continues to be a popular choice for Thai families looking to enjoy quality time with loved ones during school holidays.
To further boost tourism, both domestic and international, Pattaya also celebrated a week-long Songkran Festival last month to mark the traditional Thai New Year. Beginning on 11th April 2023 and concluding on Wan Lai Day on 19th April 2023, the festival drew visitors from across the globe; it featured plenty of activities including the famous Songkran tradition of engaging in friendly water fights in and around Pattaya Beach. Hotels near the city’s idyllic shoreline including properties like Avani Pattaya Resort offer safe accommodation too for families looking to experience the best of this destination throughout the year.
