Poson Full Moon Poya Day – A Celebration of the Arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka
The 14th of June 2022 marked a significant date for the Sri Lankan Buddhist calendar, as devotees across the country celebrated Poson Poya. Most worshippers attend religious activities on this national holiday for the country, while some even set off on pilgrimages to the far corners of the island to prominent Buddhist places of worship like the Kiri Vehera, which is located only 20 minutes away from Kithala Resort.
