The QF9 took flight from Perth towards London making history. It’s the first flight that travels directly to London, the aircraft carried about 200 people on its very first journey in March. This particular route will reduce travel time and saves the cost of stopping in countries in the Middle East and Asia.
The chief executive of Quantas Group, Alan Joyce exclaimed that this is a huge breakthrough for Australia as well as the whole world. In order to get this going, a lot of hard work has gone down behind the scenes. The plane was custom made by Boeing to be the most comfortable aircraft that Quantas had sent in the air. It is designed to reduce jetlag and turbulence. They’ve gone as far as redesigning the cabin to allow passengers to have more space and better entertainment with bigger screens along with more personal baggage storage. It is an upside for tourism in London too as hotels in Bayswater London such as the Berjaya Eden Park London Hotel and other such hotels will experience a rise in the number of Australian guests.
