Qatar 2015 Celebrates National Day and Prepares for Championship

The Qatar National Day celebrations were held along with the 24th Men’s Handball World Championship volunteers and employees. The event was held at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall which was newly opened to host the championship. The president of the Qatar 2015 Organising Committee, His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani met with the ambassadors of the participating countries as the day also marked 30 days milestone before the championship took place. The sports event that will commence next year is the first time such event will take place in the country. The Lusail Hall where the Men’s Handball Championship is scheduled to be held can host up to 15,300 spectators. Those planning to attend the event could consider a stay at one of the luxury hotels in Doha such as Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara.
