Queensland Borders Open – Restrictions Regarding COVID-19 Hotspots

The Queensland Government has put stringent border control measures in place, while travel has been permitted into the state except from what is termed as a “COVID-19 hotspot”. In January 2021, the Queensland Government eased the restrictions on the Greater Brisbane region providing access to areas such as the city of Brisbane. Those who have been in a COVID-19 hotspot within 14 days before arrival will not be able to enter unless for “essential purposes”; such exceptions will have to spend 14 days in quarantine at government arranged accommodation.
