Queensland Garden Expo – Going Green

Those with a “green thumb” and who love the outdoors will not want to miss out on the Queensland Garden Expo 2015 which provides visitors with a unique chance to learn more about gardening. The event is set to take place from 10th to 12th July at the Nambour Showgrounds and visitors planning to attend can consider Caloundra accommodation such as Oaks Oasis which is within easy reach of the venue.

Inaugurated in 1985, the Queensland Garden Expo will feature a wide and diverse range of exhibitors, guest speakers, landscape designs and more. The expo will have more than 55 nurseries and visitors will find a variety of specialised programmes and events taking place as well. At the Giant Kitchen Garden one will find a sustainable garden along with an organic food court, while the Gardeners and Gourmets Cooking Stage will host Scott Mathias, a Digestive Health Specialist who will share tips on creating gourmet meals from home grown produce. There will also be a plant clinic held free of charge along with floral art displays and even a floral design challenge.
