Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasized the Emirate’s leading position in hosting international events, attributing this success to advanced infrastructure and a vision for the sports tourism sector.
He attended the launch of the 17th Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon, reiterating the importance of sports in promoting community engagement and sustainable development. Commending the event’s organization, he highlighted its contribution to Ras Al Khaimah’s global image as a sports and tourism destination. The annual race, organized by the Ras Al-Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and held in Al Marjan Island, attracts elite runners and a large audience, generating significant media coverage. Those who flew in for the race enjoyed stays at a Ras Al Khaimah hotel the likes of Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort before the event began
