Regional Victoria Receives a Boost – Melbourne Tourism Also Getting Back on Track

Last October, travellers in the Australian state of Victoria received some much-needed good news when it was announced that residents from Melbourne would be permitted to travel to regional Victoria; this not only paved the way for family reunions but also for regional businesses to enjoy increased visitors. The announcement came just before the Melbourne Cup weekend which is typically when city residents head to regional areas on holidays.

The Victorian state capital, Melbourne, is also recovering in terms of tourism with diverse upcoming events scheduled too. Apart from the Sail Melbourne International (13th – 17th January 2022), visitors can also look to take in Frozen the Musical (until 23rd January 2022) at Her Majesty’s Theatre near Oaks Melbourne on Collins Hotel; those based at such centrally located Collins Street hotels can further enjoy the events of the Midsumma Festival (23rd January to 13th February 2022) and National Sustainable Living Festival (the whole month of February 2022).
