As with many countries around the world, Oman has been updating its guidelines for arriving travellers. As announced in February 2021, the Supreme Committee decided to enforce a mandatory institutional quarantine for seven days. Additionally, from 19th March 2021, Oman added the United Kingdom to its list of destinations from where entry was not permitted; that said, those on the list may be taken out or new ones included depending on the global situation.
Travellers arriving should also present a negative COVID‑19 PCR test result given within 72 hours of arrival; they will additionally have to undergo a COVID‑19 PCR test on arrival. It will be hoped that such measures will not only control the spread of the pandemic but also make for safer visits and stays at Oman hotels. Properties in Muscat including the likes of Al Falaj Hotel are already following stringent health and hygiene measures to ensure guests can enjoy peace of mind.
