This annual celebration is an incredibly colourful celebration that showcases the vibrant and almost magical side of Chinese culture, as well as the Chinese heritage within Singapore. The hallmark of the celebration would be the immense display of fireworks that light up the sky in an explosion of colour. When coupled with the many activities that take place at Marina Bay, River Hongbao attracts a bounty of tourists who flock to Singapore to witness the festivities. There are many foodstalls as well during the festial that not even the best luxury hotel in Singapore would be able to match in indulgence.
Due to the large scale of this event, any provider of accommodation located close to Marina Bay, such as Grand Park City Hall would experience a serious increase in reservations.
