Singapore Tourism Board Promotes a “Singapoliday”

Domestic Travellers Targeted

In a bid to revive the tourism and hospitality industries which have suffered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Singapore Tourism Board is looking to encourage more domestic travel; they are promoting what is termed as a “Singapoliday” where locals take a holiday within the country since they cannot travel overseas and discover some of the highlights of their home nation.

This new promotion is part of a marketing campaign that was launched recently at a cost of S$45 million and which will work in partnership with local communities, agencies and businesses. As part of this strategy, special itineraries will be created for specific precincts in the Lion City such as Chinatown, Little India and Orchard Road. Hotels in the area the likes of Grand Park Orchard will also provide ideal bases from which to set off on adventures and experience what these itineraries have to offer.
