An event that looked to showcase the best of Solo in Java, Indonesia, the Solo Investment Trade and Tourism Expo 2017 or SITTEX concluded recently. The event which ran for three days was held from 27th to 30th July and was hosted at the Solo Square Mall. The Solo Investment Trade and Tourism Expo showcased various local highlights and points of interest in a bid to promote tourism and trade as well as attract potential investors. The tourism industry here is one that is growing with travellers having the option of staying at a resort or hotel in Solo that can be easily found in and around the city such as Alila Solo. Also referred to as Surakarta, Solo has a rich culture which participants of SITTEX were given a chance to experience as well.
