Souq Waqif ‘photo walk’ – Get out your cameras!

Although the last week of September marks the end of the shoulder summer season, photographers in Qatar are still enjoying outdoor events such as photo walks which lure many shutterbugs to Souq Waqif.

The ‘Photo Walk Qatar’ Facebook group was created under the theme ‘Diversity of Souq’ to meet and greet photo enthusiasts and share the love for photography. This walk was open for amateurs and professionals, for those with cameras and the ones who simply want to learn photography. Those who are located in nearby hotels in Doha Qatar the likes of Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels can take part in this creativity boosting movement which gives exposure to the changing scenery. The event organiser Ijas Mohamed told Gulf Times that activities such as photo walks are a great way to help promote the country as a tourist destination.
