Southern Fruit Festival 2015

It’s a bazaar of fruits; it’s festival that’s held to honour all those hard working men and women who have contributed towards the achievements of the Agricultural Sector of the Southern region of Ho Chi Minh City. The fruit festival concluded on the 20th this month after completing 20 days of some fun filled time. The opening ceremony like always featured some exciting performances, this time over 200 actors gathered to give every visitor the ultimate experience. The festival included over 50 stalls of fruit where visitors made their pick from over 150 Southern fruit types all at reduced prices. Hosted by the Department of Agriculture and Rural development along with Suoi Tien Culture Tourism Area the festival is held with the intention of mainly promoting tourism. The expected turnout for the festival is a whopping 1 million which haven’t been confirmed so far. However, the crowds turned up in their numbers and of course a large number of young children were seen strolling through these fruit-filled streets to get their hands on the sweet delights. Most families opted to serviced residence in Ho Chi Minh City where all they were treated to fully equipped accommodation. Somerset Ho Chi Minh City was the pick of many a visitors who chose fine accommodation.
