Sri Lanka Friendship Ride 2015 – Island Touring on Two Wheels

Featuring riders from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the UK, the Sri Lanka Malaysia Friendship Ride 2015 took place in March in the South Asian island of Sri Lanka. This special tour took riders on a route that encompassed UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Sigiriya, Anuradhapura and the country’s Hill Capital, Kandy. Part of the purpose of this event was to promote tourist destinations including Kandy and travellers will find a range of Kandy hotels in the city such as Earls Regency Hotel from which to explore this ancient capital. Riders on the Sri Lanka Malaysia Friendship Ride set off on their tour on 17th March with BMW, Ducati and Harley Davidson among the renowned bike brands being used. As part of their route that took them around the island, riders also had a chance to visit Passikudah in the East Coast, Nuwara Eliya in the Central Province and Hikkaduwa along the South Coast.
