The Arabian Travel Market took place from the 1st to the 4th of May 2023 in Dubai where the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau held a press conference with the participation of Mr Harin Fernando, Tourism Minister of Sri Lanka. The press conference updated the latest tourism developments, the country’s enhances infrastructure, and initiatives taken to establish sustainable tourism. Sri Lanka showcased the major attractions in the country with the help of a delegation of 50 companies, tour operators, hotel partners, and DMCs. Sri Lanka’s beaches, cultural attractions, natural beauty, and wildlife were the focal points of the event.
The delegation team also held meetings with industry giants to bring partnerships and collaborations to promote tourist destinations in Sri Lanka such as Mirissa, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Trincomalee, and Tangalle. Hotels in Tangalle, Hiriketiya, Mirissa, Negombo, Galle, Arugam Bay, and other beach areas have become quite popular among tourists, and Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort is one such place that you must visit during your vacation to the paradise island.
